Memorial to the Others

I am mourning the demise of this group...as should each and every one of you in this country.  They accomplished much during their tenure, but they are being trampled to the ground by some very crazy people who will soon demand that all science taught in our schools come directly from the Bible, their Bible.  While they give lip service to the Koran and the Torah they know that all tomes similar to these are cult writings.  If you are an atheist or agnostic you are on your way to hell, because God is the determiner of all things.   They will interpret that "determination" for you if you are somewhat unclear from your Bible readings.

I have placed black crepe across my mantle and am lighting a candle for those that no longer speak out and those that are leaving the scene of the crimes.  We needed you in this battle to save our country and we strongly recommend you start a new group of leaders and speak out!

(I also strongly suggest that drinking water be tested in Missouri and their schools introduce a basic science class.  Please do NOT tell me he miss-spoke.  He spoke from his heart and mind and no excuses are necessary nor will be believable.)

  1. HE absolutely did speak from his heart- his TRUE beliefs- now his feeble attempts to back peddle are even more nauseating and annoying.

The worst part of this is that HE spoke the feelings of MANY in congress who FEEL the same way but just know better than to say it.

These are the people some elect, knowing little to nothing about them.

His Masters are calling for him to quit only becuase it brings their own beliefs out in the open.. even if he goes, they will all quietly vote for the same beliefs he spoke.

  2. Sonny said it all so well. I can't think of anything to add.

  3. With his in-depth knowledge of biology he should have muttered r*a*p*e before his brain conceived what his mouth said.

  6. Moderates in many things are not dead totally, i am one of them. Yes, i go to church, and i teach Sunday School, and i also think. As for who goes to heaven, well, that's not up to me at all, last time i checked.

These so-called leaders need to be reigned in.

  7. Thomas Friedman had an editorial today that praised previous moderate Republican leaders and their achievements, and rued the fact that the Republican party has been taken over by irrational and immovable idealists determined to never compromise. It does not bode well for positive action in the next four years, whoever is elected.
    You are right on target.

  8. We need to cling to the basics that this country was built upon. I will spout christianity and all that goes with it till the day I die. I have been saying for the last few years that this country is going to hell in a hand basket and the sheep...er...people of this country are allowing it by not speaking up.

  9. Yes. I'm not buying the "mis-spoke" thing. He thought his use of "legitimate" was ill-advised when he meant "forcible." Uh, honey? What about the rest of that crap? You're not disowning that, are you? Imbecile.

Can you BELIEVE the crap that they are spewing---I have worn the varnish off of my floors when the 'news' is on or I read the 'news'papers. I couldn't agree with you more. There are a slew of them that want to send us back 100 years. Ad naseaum...

  13. In the last two years this country has a President that is having to clean up the mess of the least 8 years that literally was a hell in a hand basket. A ship takes a LONG time to turn around so as long as we do not go backward with the "old guards" we will be at least going in the right direction.

  14. As a Christian, it shames me to have dopes like that as the public face of my religion.

  15. Yes, those good women who did all the volunteer work, were pro-choice and were so sane and steady. They served on boards and city councils and provided a lot of stability in their communities. They are literally a dying breed. I miss them.

  16. I saw a bit of this controversy as I was passing by my TV, but did not stop to watch. I think I need to Google it and hear it. I think I need to be "aware."

  17. It's time to speak up and be counted, that is for sure! We are definitely headed down a bad road, and I see no change if we continue ignore the "People". We become a nation of self-centered, media munching idiots!

I don't think any of our elected officials is in touch with their constituents anymore, sad to say.
